LeBron Raymone James Sr. (born December 30 1984) was an American professional basketball player who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). King James has been widely recognized as being one of history's most outstanding players in basketball. Michael Jordan is usually considered when discussing who is the best player. James was awarded two Olympic golds and four NBA championships. James has earned the second highest number of career goals, and the seventh-highest assists. James has been chosen for the NBA All Star team 18 times. The NBA All-Star has made the All-NBA Team 18 times, an all-time record. James was also named for The NBA All-Defensive First Team 5 times. James was the third player to play in the NBA Finals. Eight of these were consecutive between the year 2011 until 2018. In 2021, James was chosen to join be part of the NBA 75th Anniversary Team, and in 2022 became the first player of NBA history to score 10,000 or more career points in rebounds and assists. James played basketball at St. Vincent St. Mary High school in Akron, Ohio. The school was recognized by media across the nation as the future NBA super star. As a prep to pro his dream, the Cleveland Cavaliers chose him as the top pick in the NBA draft in 2003. He was voted as the NBA player of the year for 2004. Then he was one of the premier players of the NBA and was awarded the NBA MVP Award twice in the years 2009 and 2010. James, who was unable to win the championship in Cleveland in 2010, quit as a free-agent and joined the Miami Heat. This was made clear by the book The Decision.
