Linda Edna Cardellini (n e Lorraine (Hernan) was the daughter of Wayne David Cardellini (a businessman) in Redwood City. Linda is of Italian heritage (her paternal grandfather), Irish, German, English and Scottish (her mother). Linda was raised in San Francisco Bay and grew to be the youngest among four children. When she was in her tenth grade, she began to be attracted to acting after performing in school plays. She also continued doing school plays and performing in community theatre. Linda was a student at Saint Francis High School in Mountain View, California. She had to choose among New York for theater and Los Angeles for film and TV when she finished her studies. She decided to go to LA. Linda's debut role was the series in 1996 Bone Chillers. She had her breakthrough role as a character in Freaks and Geeks (1998). The show won her the Emmy Award for Outstanding Casting for a Comedy Series. She played Lindsay Weir, a decathlete who was enrolled at the University of California.

Lily James (born Lily Chloe Ninette Thomson on April 5, 1989) is an English actress. She was trained in acting in the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London before launching her acting career with the British TV show Just William (2010). In the following years, she starred in the role of Lady Rose MacClare in the period drama series Downton Abbey (2012-2015), her breakout role was playing the title role in the fantasy film Cinderella (2015). James was later cast as Countess Natasha Rostova in the television adaptation of War & Peace (2016) and starred in several films. These included the action-packed film Baby Driver (2017), the period dramas Darkest Hour (2017), The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society (2018) and The Dig (2021), and the musicals Mamma Mia! We're Back (2019) as well as Yesterday (2018). She was nominated for the Golden Globe Award and a Primetime Emmy Award in 2022 in her role as Pamela Anderson, the star of Pam & Tommy.
