Marcia Gay Harden
Marcia Gay Harden, born August 14, 1959 in La Jolla (California), was the 3rd child in a family of five. Beverly Bushfield was her maternal grandmother and Thad Harden, who was in military service, was the father. Families moved oftenHarden first got interested with theatre when the family moved to Greece and she attended plays in Athens. Harden attended American universities in Europe before returning to the US after 1983 to continue her education at University of Texas. She received an MFA degree from NYU and started her career as an actor. Her previous roles included the film in 1986, The Imagemaker, but her first big role came in Miller's Crossing, the Coen Brothers' offbeat, clever reference to gangster film. Harden's stunning portrayal of Verna as a mysterious, seductive moll, received positive evaluations. Harden continued to work steadily in supporting roles, including playing Ava Gardner in Sinatra (1992) A biopic that aired on TV that focused on Frank Sinatra.
